How can I plan a trip to Triund for the weekend?

Triund is one of Northern India’s most popular destinations. Most of the people who travel to Dharamshala and Mcleodganj make a trip to Triund. The Triund Tour is highly regarded, especially by foreigners and young people.

Many people call Triund Dharamshala and Mcleod Ganj’s heart or crown. The tour from Mcleod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh to Triund is around 9-10 KM. The vast Dhaulandhar ranges of Triund and Kangra Valley on the other hand offer magnificent panoramic views.

It is a lovely walk in the woods and can be done by people of all ages. Maybe this is why it is so popular on the beginners’ trek in Himachal Pradesh.

Best time to visit Triund

The Triund Trek can always be done on the basis of heavy snowfall except for January and February. But from March to mid-June and the end of June, Triund will be the best time to visit the monsoon in northern India.

Then, in September and October, one can also go to Triund. In case of bad weather and heavy snowfall, this trek is closed sometimes in January or February.

Can I make a weekend trip to Triund?

Many routes could be planned for a visit to Dharamshala, McLeodganj, and Triund. Today, I will propose a common journey throughout the weekend to Triund.

Note that if you are in need and want to go to Triund on a weekend, I will suggest that you add 1 or more days to the plan to keep it relaxation:

Take a Volvo HPTDC Overnight bus from Delhi to Mcleod Ganj at approximately 6-7 pm, which takes your trip from Mcleod Ganj at approximately 6 a.m.. Take a place to be fresh or use public toilets according to your convenience.

Saturday: eat fresh and enjoy good fruit and water for the trip to Triund. Sunday: Sunday: Reserve a cab until the temple of Galu and start the Triund by 10-11 AM. The walk crosses the beautiful wood and offers some beautiful views. Triund can be reached by 2-3 p.m.

If you don’t have one, reserve your tent by contacting those at the cafes. Discover the beautiful sunset, watch the sun fall over the horizon, rest the day. If you’re reserved for it, sleep in your camps, or arrange a stay in advance or the forest rest house.

Watch sunrise Sunday: Wake up early. Take breakfast and start your trek to Mcleod Ganj. Take the route from Dharamkot to Bhagsu Naag waterfall to waterfall for a while. You can explore the city of Mcleodganj and take a return bus to Delhi at night if you have time left.

Most Common Itinerary of Triund Trip

As you can understand, a weekend trip to Triund can be planned, but the excitement is quite hectic and the true feeling that you enjoy the trek through tires and rest can take away.

Accommodation at Triund

Tents can be purchased at Triund for Rs 300 to 500 per person, but on-site access can sometimes be an issue. You can also take your tent in Triund and pitch it. There is a forest rest house at the top, too, but it’s not so trivial to book.

Food options at Triund

For the Forest Rest House in Dharamshala, because there are limited rooms, you need to reserve in advance. If you don’t, you can arrange a stay with some local Mcleod Ganj travel agents beforehand and help you to take food and camps for yourself.

Even some shops in Mcleod Ganj offer rental equipment for camping and trekking. When you walk or trek or travel through the Himalayas, your tent or camp is better to buy, and Quechua is usually good and easily available in Amazon India.

Triund does not offer many food options. You can eat some food in a few dhabhas/tea shacks. At the top of Triund, food is a little more expensive, so you can save money to bring your food, some fruit and a water bottle.

A bottle of water is costing Rs 50, Rajma or Dal Chawal and Rs 140 costs a Maggi plate. It is better to bring you plenty of fruit and water alone.

Mobile Connection

In Mcleodganj, all mobile networks can be found. Triund has no strong relationship. The network usually goes and happens. It’s better to stay for a while, try it, and I’m sure you’re going to enjoy. In any event, BSNL functions best in the Himalayas.

About the trek to Triund

Trek begins in Mcleodganj from two places. The Galu temple is the last point to reach any vehicle. Galu offers several possibilities. Trekking from Mcleodganj can start right or book a cab or car for the Temple of Galu. This walk can also commence from the waterfall of Bhagsu Naag.

Walking, hiking or hiking to Triund is easy and mostly well marked. You pass through the lovely woods on the trail. The hike is fine, except for a few patches. On the way to Triund you can have several small shops and tea shops, which include tea and maggi.
